Early Intervention Services: Basic Information for Parents
Introduction
Sometimes, while speaking with a parent of a student in your class, he or she will mention that a younger sibling under the age of 3 is experiencing problems of a developmental nature of which are of concern. The parent may also have no idea that assessment, and if necessary, services for children with developmental delays or suspected disabilities are available through Early Intervention. This Parent Teacher Conference Handout provides basic information on early intervention services.
