INTRODUCTION
How an educator-supervisor proceeds to build a relationship with the paraprofessional will depend on whether the team is working with a new paraprofessional or a person in a preexisting position. In the latter case, the orientation takes the form of building rapport with the individual and explaining any differences that exist in the program and teaching style.
