Neuro/Psych Diagnoses Prevalent in Children With Medical Complexity

MONDAY, Aug. 5, 2024 (HealthDay News) -- Children with medical complexity (CMC) often have neurodevelopmental and mental health diagnoses, which are associated with increased health care utilization, according to a study published online Aug. 5 in Pediatrics.

JoAnna K. Leyenaar, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., from the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and colleagues identified neurodevelopmental and mental health diagnoses using all-payer claims data from three states for 2012 to 2017.
