- The Annie E. Casey Foundation for Children - The Annie E. Casey Foundation was established in 1948 by Jim Casey, one of the founders of United Parcel Service, and his siblings, George, Harry, and Marguerite, who named the philanthropy in honor of their mother. The Foundation's first grants provided support to a camp for disadvantaged children in Seattle, Wash., the home of the Casey family. When Jim Casey gave up his administrative responsibilities as chief executive officer of UPS in the 1960s, he turned his attention to sharpening the programmatic focus of the Foundation. In the course of his personal research with experts in the field of child welfare, he concluded that many troubled adults had grown up unhappily in foster care, often being bounced from one foster family to another.
- Adolescence Directory ON-Line - Adolescence Directory On-Line (ADOL) is an electronic
guide to information on adolescent issues. It is a service of
the Center for Adolescent Studies at Indiana University.
- America’s Promise - America’s Promise—The Alliance for Youth was founded after the Presidents’ Summit for America’s Future in 1997, where Presidents Bush, Carter, Clinton, and Ford—with Nancy Reagan representing Ronald Reagan—challenged the nation to make children and youth a national priority. President George W. Bush reaffirmed that commitment in 2001.
- ASCA (American School Counselor Association) - The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) supports school counselors' efforts to help students focus on academic, personal/social and career development so they achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society. ASCA provides professional development, publications and other resources, research and advocacy to more than 18,000 professional school counselors around the globe.
- College Board Online - The College Board's most recognized offering, the SAT, measures critical thinking, reasoning, and writing skills that students develop over time, both in and out of school, which are related to successful performance in college. SAT scores are intended to supplement the secondary school record and help admission officers put local data -- such as course work, grades, and class rank -- in a national perspective.

- Council for Exceptional Children - The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.
