State Releases Guidelines for Special Education in the Fall

On Thursday night the state of Massachusetts released documents outlining special education guidance for the fall semester. The 18-page document urges districts to prioritize in-person learning for students with disabilities and complex needs. It also addresses the expectations for in-person, hybrid and remote learning models. Districts are also encouraged to create ongoing engagement programs with parents since the school closures may have caused some students to regress or develop new disabilities. Read More
