The Director coordinates and evaluates special education programs and staff, and works with general education, support staff, building administrators, and parents to develop appropriate programs for special education students who receive services in PK-12. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services.
- Ability to obtain Washington State Principal Certificate and or Professional Administrator certificate prior to the first contracted day.
- Currently hold, or have held, an OSPI issued ESA or teaching certificate.
- Previous building administrative experience or district administrative experience (Ex: Principal, Assistant Principal, Director, etc.)
- Currently teaching, or have previously taught, Special Education.
