Director of Pupil Services and Special Education

The Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) is pleased to conduct the Director of Pupil Services and Special Education search on behalf of the Chester Upland School District (CUSD).

The Director of Pupil Services and Special Education shall perform those central office duties necessary to support the overall instructional mission of the school district.  Departmental responsibilities include services provided to all district buildings, hospitalization programs and other outside agencies.  Programs include health services, counseling services, school psychological services, gifted education services, ESL services, instructional support services, home/school visitor services, homebound services, and Student Assistance Service.  Other responsibilities to include coordinating the district and state standardized testing program, Child Accounting, and Central Registration and the Wellness program.

•       Must have Master’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
•       Must have PA Certification to supervise Special Education.
•       Must possess experience in administration and supervision.
