Description:
This position coordinates and develops three primary activities: performing consultations with school personnel, providing professional development for school personnel, and by creating and providing resources and expertise to school personnel. This role manages all aspects of Project ACCESS programs in the field, working with a broad spectrum of public-school personnel including teachers, administrators, related service providers, and para-educators. Specifically, they develop instructional materials and plans and conduct in-person professional development workshops, asynchronous online workshops, synchronous web conferencing workshops, and provide in-classroom coaching for school-based multidisciplinary teams who serve students with autism or related developmental disabilities. The ARS-BCBA is responsible for consulting with and training school-based multidisciplinary teams in assessment of students who present with autism spectrum disorder behaviors or characteristics to determine eligibility for special education services.
Responsibilities:
Assisting professional education staff and other related service providers in observing children demonstrating Autism Spectrum Disorder behaviors and identifying, developing, and/or referring curricula, materials, and equipment appropriate for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Assists in identifying and implementing appropriate behavior management and communication systems and occasionally will demonstrate evaluation and teaching procedures on-site in the classroom.
Develops multimedia materials and plans, coordinates, and conducts in-service training workshops.
May assist professional education staff in evaluating educational materials (e.g., texts and student-use materials) as well as assessment instruments and assists in advising on the selection of those materials and instruments appropriate for public schools.

Salary:
$60,000
