Various Sites throughout Nye County School District
183 Day, 7.0 Hours per Day (5-Day Community: Pahrump, NV)
150 Days, 8.5 Hours per Day (4-Day Communities: Amargosa, Beatty, Gabbs, Round Mountain, or Tonopah, NV)
Funding Source: Special Education Fund
Salary Range $46,657-$94,006
New Hire Incentive: $10,000--Traditional License / $5,000--ARL completion / $500 Monthly--Housing Stipend paid to Employee

Job Goal:

To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an environment that prepares students for lives as informed and engaged citizens in a global society.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Valid Nevada Teaching License*

  • Valid Nevada Driver's License

  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification is required for physical education, special education, and career & technical education teaching assignments

The Office of Educator Licensure encourages currently licensed educators from other states to apply for reciprocal licensure in Nevada. Not all other states’ licenses are eligible for reciprocity; however, a list of acceptable licenses (as approved by the Nevada Commission on Professional Standards in Education) by state is available on the website at https://doe.nv.gov/Educator_Licensure/New_Teachers_Out_of_State_Applicants/

Start Date:

2023-2024 school year. Successful candidate must complete a thorough background check and pass mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
