The How Skills provides highly individualized workplace coaching services to corporate employees. We are a quickly growing startup, and excited to expand our team! This coaching role, primarily supporting adults and working professionals with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, other neurodiversity, and mental health conditions. Teachers' skillsets are a great fit for this role, including teaching, problem-solving, collaboration, flexibility, relationship building, and communication.
Role Description:
A Workplace Coach is a leader and contributor on The How Skills team responsible for providing virtual 1:1 coaching to employees as an ADA Accommodation. This might look like helping an employee breakdown a task for clarity, developing systems to help prioritize their workload, or creating strategies around how to better manage their e-mail. Coaching is highly customized based on what the employee is wanting to work on and the systems and strategies that are appropriate for them.
Workplace coaches primarily work on executive functions, such as focus, memory, communication, workload and time management, and problem-solving. They have an understanding of evidence-based best practices for coaching individuals with a wide variety of disabilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Contribute to inclusive practices with individuals, our customers, and within our own team.
Effectively coach clients to meet their goals by recommending tools and strategies tailored to individual needs. Support needs could include improving communication, organization, planning, concentration, workload management, stress management, study techniques, etc.
Maintain a high level of clear communication with team members, employees, clients, and stakeholders.
Partake in improvements to client experience and business outcomes.
Other tasks as assigned.
Key Competencies:
Experience in teaching and providing support to individuals with disabilities
High-level of individual initiative, ability to self-direct and collaborate effectively
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to structure the session for the client
Ability to build strong relationships and influence others
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Office 365 and Google Workspace
Ability to determine an individual’s skills, strengths, and growth areas and recommend appropriate solutions
Appropriate ability to deal with confidential information
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree+ from an accredited university in Teaching. Education, Special Education, or a related field
Substantial experience providing 1:1 support to learners with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, other neurodiversity, or learning disabilities
Demonstrated knowledge of disability culture, accommodations, and/or educational best practices
3+ years of specific classroom or educational experience working with neurodiverse students and/or adults
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience teaching individuals with autism, ADHD, or other neurodiversity
Salary:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 base salary

Monday to Friday, generally 9am - 6pm in your time zone, with one hour for lunch
