NASET's Excellence in Special Education Award

Description of Award

NASET's Excellence in Special Education Award is open to organizations who have made a commitment to educate, and or advocate for children with disabilities and their families.  The NASET's Excellence in Special Education Award is one of NASET's most distinguished awards which will be bestowed no more than once a year and not necessarily every year.

The award plaque will have the organization's name, the designation NASET's Excellence in Special Education Award and the date awarded. (See Past Recipients)

Eligibility

The nominee should be an organization that has been dedicated to educating the public about special education and or to changing political or governmental policies or who has directly influenced the legal rights of children with disabilities.

Procedures for Recommendation

Nominations for this award should be submitted to NASET's Awards and Nominations Committee (Click Here for Nomination Form).  NASET's Awards and Nominations Committee will review the data and then determine its award recipients.

2014 Selection Process and Time Line

May 1, 2014 Deadline for nomination application
May 15, 2014 Complete nomination form due
May 20, 2014 NASET Awards Committee reviews applications and selects recipients
By May 30, 2014 NASET Award winners are notified
